All of our 60+ rented accommodation is located in Bournemouth (Southbourne and Winton) and Ringwood.
Our housing has a communal door entry system and homes in Southbourne enjoy a Sky Digital Television from the communal aerial system. All three Southbourne sites in Bournemouth have additional features for residents' use, such as local drop-in office (for pre-arranged appointments), laundries, guest rooms, passenger lifts and/or communal lounges and communal gardens. Ringwood homes enjoy door entry, laundries and communal gardens. Winton homes enjoy communal gardens, door entry and have a passenger lift.
Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council externally contract a company that provides both the on-site care and housing related support at our extra care rented scheme at Craigleith (East Cliff) in Bournemouth (normally 45 years old +). The care and support staff are normally on site at Craigleith from 7am to 11pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Outside of these hours an emergency call service is available.
All our flats in Bournemouth (except Winton) and Ringwood have an emergency call system linked by 'Tunstall Telecom' 'call points' to a 24-hour Council Careline Service. New tenants will not be provided with this service by Sandbourne. However, if they wish, they can make their own arrangements with a care line provider of their choice.
The three sites across Southbourne and Craigleith in Bournemouth (not Winton) have plentiful opportunities for a variety of social events, organised by residents and are facilitated by council contracted staff at Craigleith. How much residents join in is entirely up to them.
Our tenants may wish to transfer to our 18+ homes that are primarily located in Poole. Our tenants who are over 60 years old and who live in our 18+ properties can apply to transfer to our 60+ accommodation in Bournemouth and Ringwood.
